Mid-Year Review Process

Description

The Mid-Year Review Process allows managers toeffectively manage the process of mid-year reviews. The Mid-Year Review Process is often sold in the HR Package with the Goal Definition Process and the Annual Review Process, bundled as the Goal and Performance Process.

With the Goal and Performance Process bundle, employee goal definitions and reviews are stored electronically in a document repository. This allows for easy access to prior year's reviews for employee advancement, salary increases and for other human resources needs.

Use Cases
  • Kick off the Mid-Year Process by selecting those employees who are going to participate. Each supervisor with a participating direct report receives a notice in their inbox.
  • After receiving the task in their inbox for a mid-year assessment for a direct report, the supervisor downloads the yearly goals definition document and updates it with the mid-year assessment. When completed, the supervisor uploads the document, clicking Submit to send it to the Vice President for review.
  • Vice President receives notice in their inbox that a supervisor has submitted a mid-year assessment for an employee. The vice president downloads the document, reviews it approving it or rejecting it, then clicking Submit to send back to the supervisor for further action.
  • If the mid-year assessment was approved by the Vice President, the supervisor receives notice in their inbox that they are to hold an employee meeting for a direct report, to review and discuss the mid-year assessment. After the meeting, the supervisor clicks Submit to send the mid-year assessment document to the direct report.
  • The employee receives their mid-year assessment in their inbox. The employee must review the mid-year assessment and sign and date it. The employee also can download a copy for their files.

The Mid-Year Review Process uses many screens similar to the screens used in the Goal Definition Process plus some additional screens.

  • Supervisor downloads and completes the mid-year assessment.

  • Employee receives the mid-year assessment to review, download for their files and then acknowledge review by electronically signing.
